In the ocean's deep and blue,
Lived creatures of every hue,
Some with scales, some with fins,
And some with long and slimy skins.

The haddock swam with grace and pride,
With its shiny scales, it caught the tide,
The marlin darted through the waves,
And leaped above like acrobatic raves.

The grouper lurked among the rocks,
With its big mouth and hefty knocks,
The mackerel raced with lightning speed,
And fed on plankton with a voracious greed.

The cobbler hid within the sand,
And waited for prey to come at hand,
The eel slithered through the seaweed,
With its slippery body, it was hard to read.

The cod swam in schools so tight,
With silvery scales that shone so bright,
The halibut lay on the ocean floor,
With two big eyes to watch and explore.

The herring was small and silver,
And swam in shoals that made a quiver,
The flounder was flat and brown,
And blended in, to avoid a frown.

So many creatures in the sea,
Living in perfect harmony,
A world so big, so vast, and wide,
It's a wonderland to explore and abide.
