In a theater, grand and tall
Where stories come to life for all
There's a magic in the atmosphere
As actors play their parts with cheer

An archetype, a hero bold
Fights the villain, fierce and cold
The antagonist, oh how mean
A character that's often seen

An allegory, a tale so wise
Has a message for those who prize
A lesson hidden in each scene
For young and old, it can gleam

An actress plays a princess fair
A role that takes her anywhere
While an actor can be a knight
Defending all that's good and right

The audience is always there
Watching with their rapturous stare
As the performers act with grace
And bring the story to its place

An adaptation, a story new
Can take the old and make it true
With changes made, both big and small
It can inspire and enthrall

So sit aside, and listen well
To tales that have a story to tell
With acting that's both fun and grand
And a cast of characters so grand!
