Learning Communication Words Through Play

Come gather 'round, young ones, let's play a game
Of words that sound funny but all mean the same
We'll start with "blurt," which means to say without thinking
Like when you blurt out an answer without blinking

Next up is "chatter," which is like talking a lot
When your friends won't stop chatting, it can hit the spot
Then there's "cackle," a laugh that's loud and high-pitched
Like when you tell a joke and everyone's bewitched

"Blather" is when you talk on and on and on
Sometimes it's hard to listen until it's gone
"Call" means to get in touch with someone you know
Like when you give your best friend a ring, "hello!"

To "contact" is to reach out to someone new
You might meet a new friend, and that's pretty cool too
"Chat" is a word that means to talk with a friend
You can chat all day until the day's end

"Converse" is another way to say talk or speak
It's great to converse with those you like and seek
And finally, "babble" is like chattering all around
Just like when a puppy barks, that's the sound!

So go ahead and use these words in your play
You'll be a clever kid, what do you say?
