Once upon a time, in a land far away,
Lived a crooked little wolf who loved to play.
He'd growl and he'd howl with all his might,
But his tummy grumbled, hungry all night.
He searched and he searched for something to gnaw,
But his teeth were too small, and his paws too raw.
So he looked for an utensil to help him out,
And found some kelp that he began to scout.
He nibbled and chewed, using all his sinew,
Until he found some ribs, and he let out a hew.
But as he ate, an omen appeared,
And he realized his hunger, he must soon clear.
He decided to cease his search for more,
And let his belly rest, like never before.
For in this land, food was scarce,
And he must be careful, to avoid any scare.
So the crooked little wolf, with a scarce appetite,
Learned a lesson that day, and it felt just right.
He found that sometimes, it's best to take a break,
And wait for the next meal, for your own sake.
