Lost in the Woods

Come gather 'round, kids, and listen to me,
I've got a poem that's sure to be,
Full of fun and adventure, you'll see,
So come along with me!

First up is the word 'act,'
It means to perform, that's a fact,
You can be anything you want, in fact,
Just give it a try, don't hold back!

Next up we have the word 'radio,'
It plays music and shows, don't you know?
You can listen to it wherever you go,
And enjoy your favorite show!

Now let's talk about the word 'drum,'
It makes a sound that's really fun,
You can bang it with your hands or a stick,
And make music that's really quick!

Moving on to the word 'drawing,'
It's a way to express without talking,
You can create whatever you want,
And show it off like it's haute couture!

The word 'actor' is up next,
They perform on stage, with respect,
You can be an actor too,
And make everyone go woo-hoo!

Last but not least is the word 'museum,'
It's a place where you can see 'em,
Artifacts from history and more,
And learn things you've never learned before!

So there you have it, kids, all the words,
In a poem that's full of chirps and birds,
Act, radio, drum, drawing, actor, music, and museum,
Now go out there and make them your anthem!

Reflections

  1. How did the friends get lost in the woods?
  2. What did they do to try to find their way back to safety?
  3. How did they work together to overcome their challenges?
  4. What did they learn from this experience?
  5. Would you like to go camping and explore the woods? Why or why not?
