Lost in the Woods.

Come gather 'round kids, and listen to me,
A poem I'll weave, as fun as can be,
About summer holidays, so warm and bright,
With days full of fun, from morning 'til night.

We'll start at the beach, where sand and waves meet,
With buckets and spades, we'll make castles neat,
And when hunger strikes, it's time to eat,
A barbecue on the sand, oh what a treat!

But let's not forget our hobbies, so dear,
Like painting and drawing, year after year,
We can collect shells and rocks, with great cheer,
And display them proudly, for all to hear.

And speaking of collections, there's something more,
A club we can join, that we'll simply adore,
With friends who share our hobbies, and so much more,
We'll have fun together, that's what it's for.

So let's soak up the sun, and enjoy our days,
With hobbies and friends, in so many ways,
Our summer holidays will be filled with plays,
And memories we'll cherish, for all our days.

Reflections

  1. How did the two friends end up getting lost in the woods?
  2. What are some things the friends did to try and find their way back home?
  3. How did the friends feel when they realized they were lost?
  4. What did the friends learn about each other while they were lost in the woods?
  5. How would you have felt if you were in the same situation as the two friends?
