The Little Bird's Big Adventure

In the city, on the street,
A little bird hops to the beat,
Looking for a tree to rest,
And build a cozy little nest.

But the city's crowded, oh so loud,
With cars honking all around,
No trees in sight, just concrete ground,
The little bird looks lost, no doubt.

So off it goes, far and wide,
To find a place it can reside,
It flies beyond the city walls,
To a place with farms and waterfalls.

There it finds a leafy tree,
And perches on a branch with glee,
The air is fresh, the sky is blue,
And the little bird has a great view.

It sings a song of joy and peace,
With no cars to disturb its release,
It's found a home, where it can thrive,
And live a life, free and alive.

Reflections

  1. What challenges did the little bird face in the city?
  2. How did the bird feel when it found a tree in the countryside?
  3. What did the bird do when it was happy and free in its new home?
  4. What can we learn from the little bird's adventure?
  5. How can we help birds and other animals find homes in our own communities?
