There was a little cat, so big and bright,
Who loved to play and run with all his might.
He'd climb up high, and then he'd hide,
Until someone found him, he'd stay inside.

He loved to eat, and would always look,
For a tasty treat inside a nook.
And when he was done, he'd clean his face,
With a little lick, in a steady pace.

But one day, when the cat was out to play,
He saw a dog and ran away.
He climbed up high, to be out of sight,
And waited there until the dog was out of sight.

Now the little cat is happy and free,
Playing and running as he wants to be.
And when it's time to eat, he looks for a snack,
Before he climbs up high and takes a nap.
