In the big blue sky up high,
The sun shines bright and makes us smile.
But sometimes the clouds come out to play,
And rain falls down to make our day.

Pitter-patter, drop by drop,
The rain falls down, it doesn't stop.
But when the rain goes away,
A rainbow brightens up the day.

Red and orange, yellow, green,
Blue and purple, what a dream!
A colorful arch up in the sky,
It makes us happy, don't you lie.

After the rain, we go outside,
And look for puddles where we can slide.
We splash and jump and make a mess,
But it's so much fun, we must confess.

So next time the rain comes out to play,
And clouds cover the sun all day,
Remember, after the rain comes the fun,
And we'll find a rainbow when it's all done.
