Autumn Adventures: Raking Leaves and Finding Treasures

In the cool autumn air,
With leaves swirling everywhere,
We put on our jackets so snug,
To go outside and give our yard a hug.

The trees have shed their leaves,
All colors, shapes, and sheens,
We grab our rakes to tidy the ground,
So we can see the acorns and apples we've found.

We pick them up with glee,
Wondering what we can make them be,
A pie, a snack, or maybe a treat,
We'll use our imaginations to make them sweet.

And as we work and play,
The sun begins to fade away,
And in its place, we see the moon,
Bright and round like a giant balloon.

But before we head inside,
There's one more thing we can't abide,
We find a pumpkin big and round,
And make a face to scare away the hounds.

And with that, our day is done,
We had so much fun in the sun,
With acorns, apples, jackets, and rakes,
And a pumpkin that gives us the spooks and shakes.
