Fun and Friends in the Forest

In a green, lush forest so wild and free,
Lived a little mouse as cute as can be.
He scurried around with great glee,
Looking for adventure, oh so eagerly.

One day, as he wandered near a pond,
He saw a little frog, and was quite fond.
He said, "Hello there, would you like to play?
I have a ball, we could have fun all day!"

The frog replied, "I would love to join,
But let me introduce you to my friend so fine.
Here comes a turtle, so slow and steady,
She'd love to play too, I'm quite sure already."

So the mouse, the frog, and the turtle too,
All played with the ball, as if on cue.
They even let a little puppy join in,
And they all had fun, with a great big grin.

As the sun began to set in the sky,
The mouse said, "It's time for me to say goodbye."
But he promised to come back and play,
With his new friends, another day.
