In the wide open sky so blue,
A river flows to something new.
It starts its journey from the ground,
And runs through fields and trees abound.

The river grows and gets so wide,
It meets a lake on the other side.
Together they dance and swirl and play,
And carry fish along the way.

As they travel towards the sea,
The river and lake become a spree.
They join with the ocean far and wide,
And create a world so deep inside.

But when it's hot and we need a splash,
We head to the pool with a dash.
The water's cool and crystal clear,
It's a perfect place to disappear.

So whether it's the sky or the ground,
Or a river, lake, ocean or pool that's found,
We can enjoy the water in many ways,
And make the most of sunny days.
