The Treasures of the Bedroom

In your bedroom, where you rest your head,
There's a cozy bed for you to sleep in bed.
In the closet, you hang up your clothes,
And keep them neat so nobody knows.

But underneath, a secret hides,
Where dust bunnies and monsters reside.
Don't be afraid, just take a peek,
And make sure there's nothing scary to seek.

Your toy box is where your treasures lie,
With dolls and cars and toys that fly.
You can play with them in your room,
Or take them out into the bright afternoon.

In your bedroom, there are treasures in,
Everywhere you look, you'll find them within.
So have fun and play, and dream all night,
Until the morning brings the sunshine bright.

Reflections

  1. What is your favorite part of your own bedroom?
  2. Have you ever found a secret hiding spot in your room like the one in the story?
  3. What kind of toys would you keep in your own toy box?
  4. Do you think the monsters under the bed are real or just in our imagination?
  5. If you could travel anywhere in your imagination while lying in bed, where would you go?
